The ICON 6 8200 is the ultimate expedition sized pack for extended self-supported back country hunts. In its standard configuration, it delivers 8200 cubic inches (134 liters) of storage. For a more streamlined load, the 700 cubic inch lid and hardware easily removes. At just 6 pounds 7.4 ounces, it’s among the lightest and most capable back country packs available.
This pack features two versatile hauling modes for gear or meat. When you need extra capacity, the load sling mode provides an additional 5000 cubic inches between the bag and frame. When the bag isn’t needed, the Pack Load Hauler allows direct on-frame hauls and doubles as a glassing pad when not in use.
The ICON 6 Suspension sets a new standard for comfort and performance. It features highly breathable spacer air mesh, wider dual-density foam shoulder straps, nearly five inches of vertical adjustability, an ergonomically shaped taller waist belt, and up to two inches of lumbar pad customization.
At the heart of the system is the patent-pending ICON 6 3D Carbon Frame (made in the USA). Built with variable-ply, dual-direction corrugation with angled ridges, channels, and grooves. This frame delivers superior geometric strength, rigidity, and durability. A traditional flat 0/90 carbon layup would need to be five times thicker and heavier to achieve the same performance.
The frame also incorporates Flex-Forward™ Geometry — engineered with progressive stiffness that follows your spine’s natural movement while resisting rearward flex under load. Including maximum stiffness vertically for load support and controlled lateral flex for comfort without sway.
The ICON 6 8200 Bag is constructed from a premium combination of 330D double ripstop CORDURA® Nylon and waterproof CORDURA® fabrics. The coated waterproof material is strategically placed throughout the entire main compartment for maximum durability and to keep your gear dry, while the lighter uncoated fabric is used elsewhere to save weight.
Wide 1-inch (25mm) compression straps with dual auto-cam, self-locking buckles secure heavy loads and won’t loosen until you release them. Load-bearing straps are reinforced with wide Hypalon anchors and route over the main zippers for added strength.
The top of the bag features an extended shroud with draw-string cinch closure for easy loading and unloading. An innovative horseshoe zipper path with self-locking sliders runs across the top of the back panel, giving you easy access to items deep within the pack, hydration reservoir, allowing a rifle to slide down next to the frame, or a large game quarter when opened.
Inside, you’ll find a high-volume waterproof coated drop pocket with dual cinches capable of stowing heavy gear or up to 45 pounds of boned-out meat and 3+ liter reservoirs. A deep drop pocket and two zippered mesh pockets are perfect for gear organization. A convenient external pocket provides quick side access to raingear without having to remove your rifle or bow. Dual side storage compartments feature dual zipper sliders for pass-thru storage for longer items like a tripod or rifle. Dual stuff-it side pockets and a top accessory pocket offer quick access to frequently used items.
The ICON 6 Pack System is modular with common connection points (eight buckles and two straps) for versatility of swapping any bag size within the ICON 6 family for any hunt.

Grab a soft tape measure and follow the points below. Wear only light base layers for the most accurate read.
Arms at your sides, measure around the fullest part of your chest under the arms.
Measure around your natural waistline where you normally wear your pants.
Relax arm slightly bent; measure from center back of neck, over shoulder, to wrist.
Stand with feet hip-width apart; measure around the widest part of your hips.
